Where in Lebanon? Lebanon is known in the Ma’Zahr authentic fabrication, but the most known and has the oldest history in this gem fabrication is a town in the South Governorate of Lebanon called Maghdouché. Its main industry is agriculture. The town produces grapes and citrus fruits, especially oranges. The town is famous for its orange-blossom water. In April 2006, USAID funded a cooperative of flower blossom and rose water production center, which serves more than 950 farmers in Maghdouche area.
Process: It all begins with a delicate flower picking process. Where flowers needs baby care as they cannot be stacked in high levels over each other, but spread on flat surfaces. Moving to a perfect wash in cold water before distillery.
Distillery: This concoction is produced by distillation of the blossoms to extract the essence which evaporates from them.
Final Gem: This famed water has been used for ages as a home remedy against stomach aches when added with black coffee or some warm water. It is also commonly used in many traditional Middle Eastern savory and sweet recipes.
